EPA Cleaning And Disinfecting Best Practices

Download Description

In partnership with the CDC, the EPA has released the following public health guidelines for the best practices for cleaning and disinfecting during the COVID-19 pandemic:

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, follow CDC, state, and local public health guidelines. While disinfectants effectively kill germs, they can trigger asthma attacks and harm children's health if used or stored incorrectly. Instead, use soap and water for routine cleaning, and if using disinfectants, follow the label directions and avoid using unregistered products. Fogging, fumigating, and UV lights or ozone generators may be risky or ineffective, so be cautious and check the product label and EPA guidance. Disinfect high-touch surfaces when someone around you is sick with COVID-19.
