As the COVID-19 pandemic intensified, the city of Chelsea, Massachusetts became one of the most disproportionally affected communities in the state. With infection rates up to seven times higher than other cities Chelsea needed to take additional precautions to stop the spread. The school year began remotely in September however, there was light at the end of the tunnel with the opening of a small group of remote learning centers providing relief to parents who now feel confident sending their children to a safe place to learn. The school district had implemented thorough COVID PPE procedures but still required additional measures to protect their at-risk community.
Shortly before the school year began Chelsea School ISD Director, Joe Cooney reached out to Sanalife and connected with our knowledgeable air quality specialist, Khristin to design a solution for the school system and offices. Khristin worked with Director Cooney to build a customized site assessment and solution for over 10 school buildings. Based on his requirements they decided to choose our most versatile passive and active air purification system perfect for classroom safety. Using a combination of HEPA filtration, photocatalytic uv-c light, negative ionization, and unique air & surface cleaning technology, Chelsea's learning environments are now protected from mold, bacteria, viruses, VOCs. Director Cooney and his team were impressed with our air purification technology and the extensive product effectiveness studies which gave staff, parents and students better peace of mind for eventual on-site learning.
Director Cooney and the school district needed a secure solution right away and were extremely impressed with how quickly they received the units, delivered earlier than expected. Additionally, the Sanalife fulfillment team personally drove another 10 units to the school district. Director Cooney's team were excited to unbox the air units and get them set up. Once unpacked, these air purifiers began purifying and cleaning the air in the Chelsea school facilities immediately to reduce up to 99.98% of airborne viruses as small as 0.1 microns making all areas safe and healthy. Director Cooney praised the Sanalife team stating “your company has tremendous customer service, and we appreciated the ease of purchase.” Sanalife's mission to help restore trust in the safety of spaces vital to our communities by providing clean air solutions. From initial contact, customization, delivery, and service our team is dedicated to supporting each of our clients.
