Stage 1 - Pre-Filters

The first stage of Sanalife’s portable air purifiers is a mesh pre-filter. The pre-filter allows the air purifier to capture airborne particulate matter between 3 to 10 microns at an efficiency rate of 70%. Pre-filters help prevent size-able particulate matter from clogging up the primary filtration media, thereby extending the life of the Activated Carbon and True HEPA filters.

Stage 2 - Activated Carbon

The second stage of Sanalife’s portable air purifiers is an Activated Carbon filter. Activated Carbon filters are adsorbent media filter that uses granular activated carbon (GAC) or activated charcoal. Activated carbon filters were designed to remove specific organic, chemical, or gaseous composition pollutants. Activated Carbon filters are vital to removing odors from the air and making purified air "smell" clean.

Stage 3 - True HEPA Filtration

The third stage of Sanalife’s portable air purifiers is the HEPA or True HEPA filter. Our True HEPA filters are constructed using water-resistant polypropylene fibers, ensuring durability and a long 12-month lifespan. Our True HEPA filters are 99.97% efficient at reducing common airborne particulates as small as 0.3 microns.

Stage 4 - Photocatalytic Oxidation

The fourth stage of Sanalife’s portable air purifiers is PCO Technology. Photocatalytic Oxidation is a widely used air quality technology that combines UV (ultraviolet light rays) and a titanium dioxide catalyst to create reactive electrons. These reactive electrons combine with VOCs, bacteria, and airborne contaminants to break down pollutants into harmless molecules that the filtration within the air purifier can easily capture.
